Aftermarket mpem on a 1995 seadoo speedster

Does anybody have aftermarket mpems installed on a 95 seadoo speedster. I bought one without a sea trial and it is doing some crazy things. Like both motors die when i hit a hard wake and will not start up or even crank over until something resets. When it does it runs like new again. I just sit there pulling the 5 amp fuse until i here the buzzer. Well as i was diagnosing i pulled both fuses out of one mpem and went to crank that motor over and it did. As a matter of a fact i could get them both started with one mpem. Im convinced that somebody didnt wire something in right. But now im guessing without any information on that set up.

Does it have the 657x engines? I can't remember. I have a 94 that I did separate mpems.
Yes it does have the 657 engines with four wires coming from the stator. I emailed and ebay seller that seems to have the same aftermarket mpems installed and they sent me thisuploadfromtaptalk1439860050607.jpg i have two of these installed right now one for each motor uploadfromtaptalk1439860084008.jpg . im confused on why im getting a stall no crank when i hit a wake. But i do see some things that maybe wrong like lanyard wiring. Also i wonder if sharing the ground in the mpem box for both mpems can cause an issue. any refference at this point would be greatly apreciated

If itit happening in just choppy water, I would look for loose connections. Do you have a single battery? I did a big write up on dual mpems on my 94 speedster. Same engines.
I would even check to make sure the solenoids are tight in the ebox and the main ground post as well. If someone has been in the ebox, could be anything.
I might have a 94 schematic, but not sure if it would match your boat.
Edit:

Well, you have a 4 wire stator and I have a 5 wire, so my schematics won't work

Iv wiggled wires from the stators all the way up to the start stop switches and on off switfh while being stranded on the lake and i get nothing the only thing that seems to work is pulling the 5 amp fuse out a bunch of times until i get a beep from the buzzer. Im curious and would still like to compare how they match up. Just to see what can be off as far as witch wire goes to what component? Ive been reading that the only difference is a white wire from the stator and it could just be left hanging if you go from five to four wires.

If both engines die at the same time, I would be looking at the dess. Especially since it's happening when there is a shock to the boat. Also clean and check the connections to the dess to mpems. All the grounds in the ebox go to a main ground post in the box. There's about 10 that are stacked on that post. Depending on how all the connections were made, there might be some corrosion in one of the mpem shared connection. The only ones that come to mind are ground, power and dess. Each engine has its own starter button and starter solenoid.
Check the shared connections and I bet you find the issue.

This is my thread that I made and shows how I wired the twin mpems in the ebox

I just had another thought. Does your setup have the 3 solenoid setup? I think the battery goes to the center solenoid and gets sent to the other 2 from there. Also is your battery good? Seems weird that if you pulled the 5 amp fuse and put back in it resets both mpems. Try and get a picture.

The wiring inside the box is a mess i will take a picture of it when i decide to go back out and tackle this project. i replace the safety lanyard and switch already and no luck. Well i wont say no luck after i replaced the switch one motor stayed running while the other continued to have the problem coincidence or not i dont know. I went a little deeper and checked the stator as a matter of a fact i replaced it since i was already in there and well im back to square one both motors once again. i wonder with the key off how many volts are supposed to be at the on off battery switch? Im showing 4.7 on one side and ground on the other. Is there supposed to be voltage present from the mpem to the black and yellow wire or is that an issue?

Do you have a wiring schematic? If not, track each wire for the running engine and organize the mess. Then the same for the non running engine. You're going to find it there.
Did you see how my box looked? That was a mess!
