Has anyone had issues with an aftermarket pump housing not supplying cooling water to the engine?
I have this 2000 787 GTX RFI that had a trashed pump so I replaced with the aftermarket one. It wants to over heat and and not peeing out the back.
I blew through all of the hoses, made sure the passage at the pump was clear and when hooked up to a hose it pisses well. The aftermarket housing is my only source of the problem that I can think of.

Are you sure all the seals and o-rings on the housing to the hull are installed and sealing?

You may have a plugged fitting. Blow some air through the system at vaious points with a selected hose removed and trace down any problem Do you have a quick connect for the hose connection? I had a RX DI that ran hot because of the restriction of the quick disconnect.

No quick disconnect. I have blown through all. I am certain it's the aftermarket pump.
That seems very very strange. The only place you could have trouble on the pump is the ports or port sizing.

REMEMBER when you connect the hose you are pushing water the "opposite way" through the system. You could have a restriction on the front end. To verify I would apply the water hose "not full pressure" to the inlet at the rear of the engine. If you have a restriction it should reveal itself. I use air myself to clear the lines and checks but it isn't water. I think you'll find you have an issue other than the pump. You're getting flow but not volume.

Those elbows are easy to plug and restrict flow. I'd pay particular attention to the ones on the pipe. Debris in them can act like a check valve. Open one way and partially blocked the other.

You can also try blowing air backwards through specific sections of the system. You may have the debris in the system. I've takensystems apart that had a lot of junk in there. Good Luck !!

It's figured out, aftermarket jet pump=junk-no pump water. Has only one orifice (hole) instead of three like the oem.

Yes, you can spray liquids through it but does not create the required pressure for circulation. Really sucks as I bought it last year to replace a wallered out pump and did not get a chance to test. I ran out of time and warm weather.
