when you buy an aftermarket head what exactly are the domes that you can buy with them and when you buy them what do the cc marks after the number mean does it mean your adding that many cc's to your motor or somthing?

Domes are the combustion chamber. No you are not adding that many CC's. That is your new CC rating separate from your old head.

CC's is the volume of the combustion chamber in the dome of the head. The lower the CC number, the higher the compression you will have. If you don't want to run race gas, use 43cc domes and you will be safe on 91 octane for your 96 XP.
