ok i replaced the carb filters in 4 1996 xp. i brought 2 of them to florida this week to play around. one of them runs great....the other has a really high idle....also all the fuel lines were replaced. so i have a couple of questions...

1. could it have a high idle do to previous owner having it adjusted high because of clogged fuel filters in the carb???

2. could i possibly be sucking air in from where the carb is mounted to the rotary valve??

i think, both could be a possibility. Reset lsa=1, hsa=0. If high idle, lean'n to air leak...thought there was something you can spray around carb base, and if a leak, when spray'n, idle "choke' the system, but dont remember what to spray.

To check for air leaks you could use wd- 40 around the outside perimeter of the carbs.. The rpm's should pick up is there is a air leak. I would adjust the carbs first, which should have been done after you cleaned the carbs anyway.

Looks like one of those U shaped leaky gaskets...that might cause your seadoo to suck...in air that is. :)
