Advice pls. Impeller again

Hi. I got a 2nd hand Seadoo RX Di 2001. Top Speed 50mph. With 2 adults it battles to first get on a plane.
After further inspection i noticed Wear Ring is almost all gone. So i need a new one. Then i noticed chips in the impeller. Not big but never the less pieces missing. So i will need one too. My Question... Stock it says impeller is 15/21 . I was thinking Solas Concord 15/20 ? would that make huge differance ? i dont plan to do any mods on the ski, Way to expencive where i stay. ( South Africa ) I been looking on Ebay and thinking a wear ring / solas impeller combo, but dont want to get the wrong thing as shipping really costs an arm and leg to get here in first place. I just use the Ski to play in the lake and a little towing of knee board and tube.

Lastly.. any got any good deals or know cheapest for wear ring / impeller / impeller tool combo ?

Pull the nozzle, and take a pic of the impeller. No need to drop an extra $250 if you don't have to.

I will do Soon.. But i heard Solas Concords are quite good and may inprove the performance abit ? The edges a rugged and 2 blades have chips around inch big.

Worst advice I've ever heard. I do agree with pics but he says chunks are missing... C'mon really ,if chunks are missing from the impeller, it's done. Time for Impros or aftermarket. I would try Skat-Trak

Why pay for something you don't need? Maybe the impeller is ruined. Fine. But what if it's not?

And look at the series of posts. He didn't say it had chunks missing in the first post.

yes sounds like impeller buggered....so the 15/20 wont change to much speed wise ..better to go stock pitch wise on the impeller ...as it will give you the best performance..yes put a new wear ring in dont forget to get oil for the shaft as well ....

Thanks. Not really looking for change but the Concord do look pretty. That why was looking at concord 15/20 would almost be like stock. Spped wise not an issue, just play around and pull kids on tube.

From what I have read, the Skat impeller seems to be better when doing no mods to the engine. In most cases you grain bottom end and mid range performance and don't loose on the top end..

Yeah, I think each manufacturer has an application chart as well, squirrel runs a similar ski I think and has already determined which impeller he prefers, so might consider that one.

Dime size chunks missing will require rewelding and rework at a minimum, impros dot com can help you find what you need and advise if yours can be repaired if you send them good photos. Too much damage, and they may advise against it.
