advice on rebuilt engine purchase

the seadoo 717 is the same motor as the 720.. your sportster has twin 717 motors so yes this is the right one to buy..

have you searched sbt ? good motors with warranty and you can send your block back for a core charge
 
Thank you so much Matty, I believe we will go ahead with the ebay purchase since we cannot return the old one as it is completely destroyed and would be super expensive to ship back to the USA. We really appreciate your response!!!

Hmm, okay learn something new every day. Why is it called an 1800 then?? Just didn't want him to buy the wrong thing without confirmation
