Advertise Jet-Ski In Front Yard?

I'm trying to sell my jet ski and honestly I just haven't been getting any traffic by it. I thought about putting it in my front yard as I live on a very busy road, but instantly thought against it. What would be to keep someone from just loading it up and taking it while I was gone to work?

Any ideas how I could park it out front and not have to worry about it getting stole?

By a hitch lock. Not completely protected but it never will be. It will just make them stand in there yard a while longer if they do attempt it.

That would work, but I don't have a vehicle I can hitch it to and leave it there to advertise. The just ski would have to stand-alone. Maybe pretty much impossible and not worth the hassle.

no, you dont need a vehicle. there is probably a little pin dangling from a short chain on the front of your trailer hitch that goes in the hole to prevent the hitch from being opened and coming unhitched off the ball. go to walmart and buy a hitch lock for like $8 that goes in that hole. It prevents someone from hooking your trailer up to their hitch and driving off

Take wheels and coupler off...
Do it when you know your going to be home aka weekends.

Gotcha, good idea. May do that. The wheel lock would be a good idea also.

It should always have something there to prevent it from opening like you said.
But any one who wants to steal it can but I make them bring stuff :)

I also cable lock tire to trailer and remove the nuts...

I use a gorilla lock. Would take forever to hacksaw and bolt cutters won't phase it.

yea but they could cut the tongue off your trailer, weld a new tongue on and still be gone with your trailer/ski in a few minutes. They just have to bring bigger tools :)

I don't think any one would actually steal it. Not that I'm real sure about that, but I would rather make it less tempting.

I'm still not so sure how crazy I am leaving it out front sitting in the sun all day though. She has been living her whole life in a garage, and I hate to set it in the sun.

Like a previous post said.
Take the wheels off and sit it on bricks.Takes 5 mins at the end of the day to put them back on.(you only need 2 wheel nuts.)

I bought a hitch lock and strap with lock. Both heavy duty only cost me $30 bucks. Worth knowing it won't be gone when I get home. Parked it last night late, and by 11:00 am this morning had 5 calls on it and 2 offers. Plus a guy is going to come look at it tomorrow.

I had it on the internet for a month with 2 calls. Parking it works wayyyyy better! Even though I hate to get rid of it. I have been telling myself I wont be disappointed if I don't sell it.

Keep it FULLY insured until they are sold or stolen..

I have the tongue lock and it works well. But I would never not have insurance on them just for the fact it eliminates any concerns..

Oral-gel on a hamburger will make that dog useless. Best opt for a big lock and good ins.

HaHaHa Thanks for that.He drools enough as it is.With that stuff,I'd have to tie a bucket under his chin to stop him slippin' over
