this weekend i added a under 30 buck dual horn setup to my boat.

dual horns from autozone, a switch, and if you need it some wire. (i had wire)

i drilled two holes under the foot well and mounted the horns through the hole, which barely fit, just enough to get the nut on the end and tighten it up.

these horns can be mounted two ways, ground the post or use the two prongs, one + one -. which make the post great for mounting to the boat.

then i just happened to have a two split pigtailed wires, but you can make your own.

i just happened to pick the ground to run to a 2 way switch and then back to the ground of the accessory plug that wasn't being used on my boat.

the postive goes straight to the accessory plug.

black=neg orange=constant postive even without boat on, so you can honk without the boat on.

this works on sportsters too.

in the pictures i haven't wired everything permanent, but you get the idea. i was just testing.

horns will be load enough, but they wont blow anything out of the water or fish into your boat. you want loader get the air horns i suppose.

Hank
