Added these to my boat trailer and love them so much, I bought a set of the G3 version. One less thing to take off/put back on at the ramp...

I have always wanted to add them to my trailer, but I would need four of them as the hooks can't fit through the tie downs on the back of the skis,,, Then one day,,, it hit me. I can now use one per side by using heavy duty (aka "real") climbers quick release clips. Been using ratchet tie downs for now, but plan on making the switch...

looks good, amazon has these priced at $36 each.. was that around what you paid ?

my only concern would be the number of times the buckles will get submerged in water, for me its a lot of brackish and salt water. I know its stainless but.... my first thought would be that about 20 launches from now it will stop functioning properly, and I will have wasted $80 on a pair of these.

I would love to see a report in 6 months / 20 launches as to how well they are holding up.

I still use the retractable kind (not stainless) but I tend to replace them every year or so because they start to get stuck and not retract well. Duly noted I'm buying the harbor freight brand, so i'm paying about 85% less.

$48.42 for the pair of G3. I do not believe the G3's are stainless. The G2's I bought for my boat come in both stainless and non stainless version. I went with the stainless on the boat. I am only using in fresh water though.
