Accidental fuel in the oil

Nephew attempted to fuel my 2005 GTI in the oil reservoir! Then attempted to start the GTI, which would not start. Aside from changing out the spark plugs, draining the oil reservoir and changing the inline filter, what else should I do before refilling the oil reservoir and start the engine?

Did you prime the oil pump by loosening the screw to allow air to exit? Seems like everything should be good after that, can't see why it doesn't start now thats a bit strange.

I haven't done anything yet, as I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to cause any harm to the motor. Once I drain and refill the reservoir, I'll prime the oil pump as you recommended. Anything else??

Change the oil filter. To bleed open the bleed screw until a steady amount of oil flows out. Then start the ski and manually hold the oil pump wide open until oil fills the lines or you see more smoke than usual.
