Ever wonder what a 951 airbox looks like on the INSIDE? Me too, so I rented a bore scope to get a look at it. I got this one off '99 GTX LTD junkyard ski that had been sitting for who knows how long, so I was also searching for bug nests or other things that could restrict airflow.

The 951 airbox from the outside

Marked up for what's on the inside - solid dividers on the red lines, and a cylindrical plastic mesh where the blue box is

A peak in one of the "side" zones, you can see the opening where the mesh cylinder starts

Inside the large "center" chamber, where the (red) divider wall meets the main section of the cylinder. This image is rotated, the top of the image is actually where that (red) divider wall is.

Inside that cylinder, looking from one of the "side" zones to the other. I stuck a flashlight in the opposite side so you can actually see (the bright light at the end of the tunnel). This is the blue rectangle from the marked-up image.

If you wonder about the inside of the air box... I"m sure that bore scope has been on many adventures. :D :D

Well, this bore scope is just a rental from AutoZone but now that I know I can rent one for free... The main purpose of this was really to check for nests inside the airbox, but if I'm being real with myself I probably could have just reached my hand in there and felt around. But of course I wanted to play with the new toy tool
