99 yamaha gp 1200

loss of rpms compression 80 all three
heavy smoke and fuel consumtion

added fuel cleaner---fome something--???

started off getting 6000 at 45mph
got better 7200 at 60 mph

still a fuel burner any ideas---

Hi, I would think that 80 PSI is too low for any ski motor and still run correctly.
Looks like a rebuild is due. How old is the motor? How many hours on it?

As Seadoobuddy said... 80 psi is WAY to low. That engine should be showing 125~135. So... no reason to go any deeper. Time for a rebuild.

its a 99 hours under 100

that would sound right to me,
is that a hone and re ring if the cylinders are lookin good or is it
a must to put pistons in it???
