99 xpl Trim rod

Does anyone know the actual size of the rod and threads of the connecting rod on the trim? I have ordered several aftermarket ones and they only lasted 5 min. I want to make my own a d thread the rod myself. Thanks for any info

I've had decent luck with the WSM ones. I can measure my vts rod later today but not sure on the OEM rods thread because I had to tap mine out to 6mm, for some reason the WSM ones are the wrong thread.

Thanks for the reply I think I'll bend the rod and thread myself if I had to thread the wsm one
