I have a 99 GTX Limited Edition(I think its 1100cc). I bought it over the winter. It had a new motor installed last fall and had not even been broken in yet. I took it out this weekend to break in. It starts up very eaisly and runs excellent. The only problem is when I take off you kinda have to feather the throttle to a certain point high in the rpms to open it up and once you do its great. Slow down and same thing. You can not just push the throttle and go or it with bogg down and die but like i said once you get in the higher rpms it great. Thanks for any help. I not sure if its a carb adjustment or not it is the first time in water since a brand new motor install.

what caused the first motor to go..? Think, you wanna have a look in the carb/fuel system..

You got the 951, in which the lsa(low speed screw) is at 1-1/2, and hsa(high spped screw) at 0

The previous owner filled up the engine with the hose hooked to the back and the engine not running. So they filled the engine with water and then tried to start it and blew it. What do the screw look like you were refering too.Is there one on each carb?

that pump is bolted to the carb...check/clean it along with carbs, and also, clear out the "fittings' on the carbs..
