Opportunity to pick up a decent price 99 polarish SLH that looks to be in great shape.

What kind of ski is this? I'm into jumping, spinning, etc.. I dont want to just cruise around.

In the past I've had a 95 XP, 96 HX, 97 XP.. would love to find another XP but it hasnt happened yet.

Would I be disappointed with this ski? Will it be no good for what I'm looking for? Will it hold up to some abuse?

Thanks!

There was a few versions... but it's probably a 2 cyl 700cc engine. They are a very reliable ski... but just like anything... it all depends on how it was treated before.

Personally... I like the Polaris skis. They came with Skat-Track impellers, stainless pumps, hydroturff... and a lot of other good features. They did have an issue with ignition, so ask if it had the update done. (but it's not always needed) Also... the "LR" units are weak... and if it hasn't been replaced... it will need to be done soon. (It the start/stop, and voltage regulator unit)

If the price is right... and it's clean... buy it.

Owned one for 11 years prior to buying my Seadoo's.

Always ran fantastic and NEVER had any kind if repair in it. Changed the plugs three times in 11 years.

Only thing indies was spend the money for Polaris Synthetic oil. I swear it runs noticeably better. And to be honest, even if it was a mental thing still work it.

There is a grease fitting on the shaft, hit it after every ride.

That is the only general maintenance it ever needed.

Is it as strong as my RXT-X, nope, not even close. Is it normally a very good ski. Absolutely.

If you buy it, stay with the correct plugs, which I believe are Resister plugs.
