I just dropped a rebuilt motor and rebuilt carbs into this machine. It runs well except for the idle. Now the carbs are not exactly the same part for part as my original. By this I mean the choke posts are a little different and the idle screw doesnt come close to the throttle post when the throttle is completely let go. However it idles at about 3200 rpm in the water. That is a guess based on what I noticed riding it yesterday. The throttle cable is loose as in to the last thread on the cable. There is not tension what so ever. I did not adjust or tune anything on the carb since i got it. I dropped it in and put in in the water and that is the only problem I am seeing. There are also 2 other screws on the top of each carb that adjust something. I am debating wether or not to adjust those to see if it helps. I have no idea how to fix this considering the fact that the throttle screw is not touching the post and the cable has no tension on it. Please help. THX
