99 GTX Limited Dies

I have a 99 GTX limited that dies abruptly. Pull the lanyard and put it back on and it will start and run fine. Might run 30 sec. and it might run 5 minutes. When it dies, it is dead not like starving for fuel. Any ideas what to check would be appreciated.

There have been known DESS post failures. You can get a new post for about $30.00. This does not require reprogramming.

Also make sure the post is clean, just use soap and water.

Check your battery connections, make sure they are clean and tight.
