Hi i just bought 2 gti's 1 is a 96 and one is a 99 they are both the 720cc rotax engine. yesterday after making sure they started first we took them to the local lake to test them out and see how they did. at first the 96 would only get up to about 15, but after about ten minutes it got rolling and would get up to around 45. But the 99 would only idle. i also tried to warm it up for a long time and also held the choke to try to warm it up more, but no matter what i did whenever you tried to give it gas it would just die. These are both very clean inside and out, but i think the problem might be that it's either not getting the top end fuel or that the carb screw isnt adjusted right or that the idle isn't high enough. any suggestions?
thanks alot,
Evan Witty

Evan....like a chick, stud...she looks hot, but ur attitude SUCKS....need to go thru the carbies and fuel system, replace the grey lines if in there, also...hers ur specs for settings of carbs.....

thanks for the fast reply timmy. so i checked the fuel lines and they were not the gray ones and i took one off and it looked fine. i also got to the carb and turned up the idle a little bit and got it so i could give it about half throttle but it still dies at full. which screw is the high screw and how do i make it the 0 setting? also how would i go about going through the carb?

so i think i found the problem, its just not getting gas. i can see at the top of the carb the little brass thing that squirts in gas when i push the throttle, so if i do that some and put some gas into the carb it fires right up, then dies. so is there another place inside the carb where gas is put in that might be clogged or something? do you think a carb rebuild kit would solve the problem?
