Hello, I had my 99 Gsx out today after a year of not running. I just sent the carbs out and had them cleaned and re-jetted. I also replaced all the gray fuel lines with black ones. It seemed to run fine and then I noticed the overheating indicator was on. I looked back and the little hole near the rear tow hook was not spraying any water?? I poped off the seat and the exhaust was extremely hot! So I loaded it and brought it home. I then hooked up a garden hose(after it had cooled down) and I am now getting water out of the rear hole near the rear tow hook?? I am really confused. Is something clogged in my Jet pump? Thanks

Check your service manual in the cooling section. I suspect you have a problem with your main water inlet hose. The impeller forces water into this line and into the exhaust to cool your engine. The garden hose method basically injects water directly into the engine.

When you are in the water you probably don't notice the water coming out of your engine via an exhaust hose. Usually the water exits near the impeller. That same exhaust hose is used when the garden hose is attached. It's basically an outlet for the water coming in. You definitely should see water coming out the rear of the craft with the garden hose attached.

I would start by checking the main water inlet hose. On my 95 GTX it attaches to the impeller housing. The hose clamps onto a small plastic fitting. I have seen this fitting break twice this year (once by dealer, and once by me).

Do you notice any water in the craft after using it for a short period of time. If the fitting is cracked, the boat will fill with water. It could also be just plugged...
