99 GSX 787 RFI - Can I check gauges with no motor in jetski

So I have the motor of a 787 RFI jetski as I am currently working on rebuilding it. Just wondering is there any way possible to run power to the gauges to see if the trim and fuel gauge works while the motor is out?

Download the wiring diagram for the RFI. I've tested and reparied gauges removed from the ski but not installed. You can apply voltage to the proper wires and the gauges will turn on. I you make a mistake you can damage the gauge.

I will just wait until I have the engine back in to be safe

Good idea. LOL I repaired a gauge then messed it up. The hot wire touched another wire and poof. Done.
