Ive got 2 rebuilt motors to install. Any thing I should watch for or check prior to instalation. Motors were done by the Seadoo shop. Any tricks? How much can be assembled on the floor prior to install, i.e starter, manifold, engine mounts, carbs etc
Thanks

Read the service manual. Not much, starter, ex man, inake reeds, rear motor mount bracket is about it.

Did they give you break-in procedures, if not call them and ask if they have procedures, especially if they are warranting them. Don't want to get caught holding the bag if they didn't do a good job. Otherwise there are break-in procedure in the manual, its free online.

As you lower the engine CONNECT all the hoses possible, especially the hose on the bottom of the air compressor. Did you test all of the oil check valves to make sure they were clear and working properly? There are 3 of them. I install the oil pump and charge all of the oil lines prior to putting the engine in place. The DI engine It is a a lot more to install than the other engines. You may have trouble with the stud on top of the exhaust manifold hitting the body work and.... be very very careful round the Rave Solenoid. One bump will break off a hose connection. Good Luck !!
