Whenever I start my challenger in the water, my port side engine almost needs to be at 1/3 throttle to hit 1500 rpms. About a minute to 3 minutes later, the idle speeds up to where i can drop the throttle all the way back to normal and its at 1500 rpms. Is there any reason why? should I be checking my water lines and/or replacing them just in case?

Thanks,

John

Sounds like the needle and seat my be leaking a little, and it's flooding one cyl. Basically... it will take a little throttle to clear it out, but once it does, it will be fine.

One other thing... when was the last time you put new spark plugs in that engine?

changes the plugs last weekend. I was thinking of the offseason sending my carbs to you for a rebuild. Should I be ok with a leaking needle and seat until then?
