ps.please help.

XPs can and will turn upside down due to the hull design. Makes them fun to ride. :) Just make sure you roll it back upright in the correct direction as quickly as possible. Owners manual and/or sticker on the transom (back) will show correct direction to roll her back upright. Rolling in the wrong direction can force water from the exhaust into the engine. You do not ever want this to happen. Once upright, check water level in hull. If it is anywhere near deep enough to be anywhere close to the carbs, do not start the engine. Pull it up to shore and use a cup or a hand pump to bail the water out. Once you get it down to a couple of inches in the hull (no where near the carbs), you can crank the engine and drive slowly and upright (no turning or sloshing) until the siphoners bilge out the remaining water.

If there was enough water to make the rear sink, you probably need to pump/bilge out a lot of water before cranking the motor.

The 98 xpl has a bilge pump in it, if you turn it upright and just put the key on without firing the motor, the pump should start pumping the water out.

but yes they will get water in them, just make sure you get it all out.

how do i check the pump? is it tru that if they flip i have to flush every thing inside and then i have to run it in the water to flush in sideof the motor? or flush every thing and put the ski to the water hose in the back and let run ?

and my o ther 1 when i make the vts go up it beep but when i make it go down it dont . but it works up and down but beeps when goin up. what can i do to find the problen?

pull the plugs, ground plug boots to the post, and crank over til all water is out. Then install plugs, and choke it, til it fires up.
