I have been fighting this stupid thing for quite a while, and still no start. I pulled the plugs out and put them back into the boots. I then read the battery at 12.52 volts. I cleaned the laynard and contact with an eraser, although it was not cruddy. When I stuck the laynard in the ski did not even beep. It did have some issues in the past where it beeped right off when I plugged in the lanyard, and sometimes I had to take it off and replug the laynard. I turned the motor and noticed that the plugs were firing, but extremely weak. I tried to fire it again, and this time no spark at all. I re-read the battery and it showed 12.4v (seems like quite a loss for just just a few cranks). Then I noticed the Race Pak gauge seemed to be going crazy! It was flashing EGT1, EGT2, RPMs about a thousand miles per hour. The ski only has 1 quart of oil in the tank, as I just cleaned it out, but that should not cause the problem should it? Needing help A.S.A.P. Just thinking of having the stealership fix it and selling the freaking stupid thing. Hate to do that though, it is a blast when it is running, but the whole situation has soured me on it. Thanks!

Forgot to add, all the fuses are okay.

jump the battery, see if fires. DOnt worry about the beeper, it may come back to life, when jump'n.

I did that with the fuel switch shut off and a little starter fluid in the motor, fired right off for a second (until the starter fluid burned off). Thanks a TON for the help! Looks like I am off to Auto Zone for a new battery to replace the old crapper that I got just last year. :ack: Glad that it was not too big a deal! I decided not to start it off the carbs, because I have my doubts wither or not the service shop that winterized it ran fuel stabilizer through it. I remember dropping off the ski, but the shop said that they did not need the lanyard and gave it back to my fiancee. Didn't make since because I am pretty sure that you need to run the ski for a minute or so in order to run stabilizer through it. I figured I would dump the tank and start fresh... just wondering now if I need to drop the carbs and clean them out too, or just crank it off with a fresh tank of gas and let the bad gas run through. I do know that the ski was run dry (fuel shut off and the motor starved out) before I put it up, so I think just dumping the tank and going with fresh stuff from there should be fine. Thanks again, my friend, for all of your help!
