Having a problem with starting left motor under load, fine on trailer...would the motor not being aligned with the drive shaft cause this or bad pump bearings?....just had the carbs rebuilt and the fuel pump accelerater and top end redone. But I had this problem before those things were done..basically its dieing out around 3000 rpms and I have to pump the throttle to push through it..then runs fine. If I shut it off and its been longer then five minutes its really hard to start in water...once it does it struggles for about ten seconds. Also when I try to adjust my rpms my idle screw does not effect the rpms or rev of the motor...just stays the same..
Thanks for the help....

Your rotary valve could be warn out. When they have high clearance... that causes issues.

If the driveshaft is out of alignment... it normally rips the splines out... and if the pump bearings are bad... thy will keep the engine from spinning at all.

Thanks doc....ill try that and see if it works...I asked the mechanic if he POP off the carb...he said no, don't need to...so is this why my idle screw will not adjust my idle?.... It just stays the same...can tighten all the way or loosen, no rpm surge...
