I have a 98 sportster 1800 seadoo boat and I can't figure out what part is bad. The boat starts and runs fine, but when you put in the "key" it doesn't beep or chirp like it should. If you listen very carefully you can hear faint beeps but not like it should be. Does anybody know what part needs replacing or what is wrong? Thanks

Under The dash is a beeper. It is bad, so open the consul and unplug it. Than unscrew the ring around the beeper under the dash. Go to radio shack and you can buy a new one for like $12.00 last time I check. You need to cut the old wires from the plug connector and solder and shrink wrap the new wires to the plug end. (Radio Shack can help there too)Re-plug it in and your done. The replacement part at seadoo is like $49.99....go to radio shack. Let us know how you make out.
