98 sportster 1800 throttle cables (same)

I have just ordered a new left cable from stb. It was $119.00 for the left which is longer then the right. The right side is $200.00 for the cable...just a little shorter. They look the same so my question is can I buy another left for $80 bucks cheaper n just use on the right?...I need help from the guys who have a PHD in PWC..

I can't see those cables being that different in lenth. I have the same boat the engines are like 2 feet apart if that. The only onther thing is the cheaper cable might fit other boats making the cost lower since they only made the 1800 Sporterter with dual egines for 2 years. Who knows how they do pricing on stuff its all scam but you need the parts.

What I can tell you is a challenger 1800 weedless cables fits perfect on the 1800 Sportster even though they are different numbers it fits and move the grate the same distance.

Yea it doesn't make sense. The longer one is cheaper then the shorter one..

Just got my throttle cable in from sbt. This one is for the left motor but the same as the right. So the left will work on the right just a little longer and 80 bucks cheaper.
