I'm rebuilding the carbs on a 1998 speedster with twin 787s. The carbs on one of the engines has different size jets. One carb has a 145 high speed jet and the other carb is a 142.5. Has anyone seen this before?

I have a 1999 Challenger with twin 787s the rear high-speed jet is larger to richen the rear cylinder because it is more prone to a lean seizure. On my boat, the front carbs have 140, and the rear carbs have 142.5. If you have a 145 sounds like someone may have switched a jet. It will not hurt your engine to run a larger jet because it will run rich. Check the specs on your boat to verify which jets you should have from the factory. Your boat may be 142.5 front and 145 back.

Thanks a million! I got both carbs rebuilt on one of the engines. Tested the popoff pressure and all is good!
