Well I'm new here. To make a long story short. This past weekend the previous owners took it out to try and use it. They had changed out something that goes into the fuel tank. I think it is for the gauges and stuff. Also, the plugs were changed. Found out that the selector switch for tanks was bad. So we bypassed it. It wouldn't idle at first. Somehow we managed to get it fixed. Got it into the water and it ran for a couple of minutes and it stopped. Motor died. Got it started up, and it ran again for a couple of minutes and then it died again. So we idled it back and put it up for the remainder of the weekend. Any ideas on what is causing this? I was told to change the carbs and fuel lines. Then have it set by a competent mech. ??????

Just a hunch.........

Is the gas tank full?

I would check the fuel sender tube hosing. It is possible they have reconnected the hose wrong. There are four hose and need to be connected to the proper place. If you find this to be true, you might want to reconnect the fuel valve you took our of the circuit and see if it works.

Good Luck!

I have no clue where any of the lines came from or where they go. I was hoping that there was a manual of some sort out there I could look at. Yes the fuel tank and oil tank are full. Well the oil is about half full. It also is running rich. Alot of smoke. Kinda blueish white. Looks like normal just alot of gas smell to it.

You really need a seadoo manual to help get that seadoo running up to par.
If you want you could join as a "premium member". As a premium member you can down load a authentic seadoo manual from the seadoo manual library. In the library is a variety of manuals for almost all years and models. You can view as many as you like on line as a PDF file, or download it and print it for your personal and privet use. There are operator manuals and repair manuals for you to do your own repairs on your seadoo. The repair manuals have everything from troubleshooting, repair procedures to winterizing. It contains wire diagrams torque specs and pictures for disassemble and assemble instructions. In the spec sheets it tells everything needed to maintain oil changes, spark plug gaps, carburetor rebuilds and impeller wear ring tolerances. Click on the "Seadoo Manuals" link at the top of the page for more details. If you need any help or get in a jam, we are always here to answer your questions too.

I was gonna ask about a manual. I can't join the premium member thing right now. Is there any other way to get one?

Well I just bought a paper back seadoo manual from a seadoo dealer to have on hand...cost me $100.00! I use it to help members here too...it's for my speedster. the membership here is $10.95. Join for a month, print off your manual and then cancel. The seadoo forum didn't at the time have the exact manual I needed and I wanted a paper back anyway.

I found one. Can you believe it. It cost me exactly $0.00. I just have to print it out. I hope it will. Then I can read it. Do I need to do a compression check on the motor?

The manual doesn't show the routing of the lines. Am I looking at the wrong place. It looks like page 06-02-12. I'm not sure. I need lots of help with this.
