I am not too savy about these things. So I just took a video and uploaded it to youtube soo that you guys could make suggestions based on what you can now actually see.
this is something that happened all of a sudden while i was in the water. the clicking coming out of that box happens when I press that start button.
Please comment on what you think in this forum and not youtube's.

YOU TUBE LINKs
Split into 4 videos

Video 1 a look at the engine

Video 2 when i plug in key and click noise when i press start (hard to hear)

Video 3 Gauges seem to function fine

Video 4 where the clicking noise is coming from when i press start button

if there is anything that i should try doing. please tell me what other videos would help you guys in troubleshooting this.
if this isn't cheap to fix i am going to sell this, and i think i should know what is wrong with it first to be able to tell anyone interested what is wrong with it.

it sounds some what almost like a low battery, or there is a problem with that rear power box, did you check your 5 amp fuse.

I listed this in the newspaper for sale. i had a guy just come over and take a look at it. he took out the spark plugs and tried to turn the shaft in the rear of the ski. he said it should have turned easily and told me that the engine was locked up, then offered me 250 for everything. is this an accurate assumption?

Can you turn the engine yourself counterclockwise at the rear shaft with the plugs out? What lead up to the seadoo doing this?

i just tried to do the same thing myself. and there is no give in it. it occured when i was hitting some waves at lake michigan. riding pretty hard.
Right afterwards i was given a quote by the local here amounting to about 3600 as a worst case scenario, based on electrical units. If it is the engine then i am pretty steamed because at the time it would have been covered by the 2 year SBT engine warranty. now it is not.
anyways. does this indicate that it is an engine problem?

That seems strange...did it get water in side the engine? It won't just seize up from running it hard. With the spark plugs out it won't turn counter clockwise...try a pipe wrench on it and see if it breaks loose. I would add some Marvel Mystery oil in each cylinder too....Like a couple oz. in each one. How far out of warranty is the engine? I would call them anyway and see what they might do.
Keep us posted...

Karl
