98' gtxl with oil on plugs

i pulled the plugs out of it and found oil on the plugs and inside the cylinder. I'd have to take some pictures to show you. Is this a problem?
Also, how do I find out which model of 98' gtxl I have? Is there a name plate or some I.D. on it some where?

The Hull number on the plate on the right of the transom area will give you information.

The rear of the boat... just below the rub rail, right side. Usually it is riveted on the boat or it is engraved in the fiberglass. It is required to be on any vessel on the water for Identification purposes, as required by law. It is as important as the registration numbers. The title of the boat/ pwc will also have the model and Hull # on it.
