I was looking over the drive shaft and noticed a tear/hole in one of the seals. (see pic) Is there anyway to replace this seal without removing the entire drive shaft?

well, on the bright side I can go through all the bearings and such and make sure they are all good. Anything particular I should scrutinize while I'm taking it apart. Isn't there a special tool Ill need?

You will need the impeller shaft holder and spline tool and good strong bench with a vise.

Some heat and luck to break the Loctite bond.

I would look at replacing all the bearings and seals while it was torn down.

You don't need the impeller shaft tool, just clamp the flats of the shaft in the vice.

That tear ,is not life threatening,,,the boot keeps the grease in,,,I would grease the joint,,clean the boot super thoroughly, and put some rtv silicone over the crack,,,worst case scenario is that you have grease residue on your hull below the pto,,,untill you want to pull the pump and shaft.

No special tools.

As popps said it’s not the end of the world but I can’t stand a dirty bilge so my ocd wouldn’t have it.

Ok cool, I plan on getting the engine going, verifying everything is working and then figure out the drive line stuff. Good to know i can do a temp patch to verify all else is good. I plan on changing out the pump oil anyway, if things look worn on that end I'll go ahead and replace everything i can.

I am kind a the same way, like it right, seems to last longer, but I do need to verify the engine is running well first. So I will patch it to verify all is right and then look at changing it out.
