98 GTX Ltd compression

My 98 GTX has been running great ever since I got it but here recently it has felt a little underpowered on the top end and my top speed has only been around 47mph and max rpm around 6150 on smooth water. I checked compression today and both cylinders are showing 120psi. Is it about time to do a rebuild or should I look somewhere else?

951? I would look elsewhere if it is. 120 on both is fine for the 951

Correct, 130 is perfect but it should still run better than that at 120.

Clean / check RAVE valves

My GTX tops out about 6100 rpm as well , I get around mid 50s for mph, raves are an easy thing to check and clean. You haven't changed anything lately, like brand/type of oil or different gas...etc If raves are good then it may be time for a carb rebuild....lets us know what you find.

The rear rave valve was stuck shut because of carbon buildup. I haven’t taken it back out yet but I’d say that fixed my problem.
