Hi guys, I'm the proud owner of a '98 GSX Limited (~130 hours, 947 engine) which normally runs great but last week I had a small problem with the propulsion system. It was totally my own fault, I just dind't spent enough time to 'winterize' it last year, didn't grease a part that really should be greased...

Anyway, that problem is already solved now (almost that is). Now I was wondering where I could find the oil filter on my GSXL ? In the service manual I can see it (page 200, part 4 or see attachment) but how the hell do I get there without disassembling eninge parts ?

Thanks in advance !

The filter is available fro most seadoo dealers. The filter shouldn't be that hard to locate. Just follow the oil injector line to the filter. Just be careful not to get bubbles in the line that could cause a slight pause of oil going to the injector, which could cause engine problems running with oil. To remove any trapped bubbles just advance the injector at the cable disk so it feeds more oil than needed till the bubble is gone. Keep us posted if you still have any questions.

Thanks for your answer, I think I have located the oil filter but how do I reacht it ? Do I have to take out the oil tank and go 'in' from the front ?

Don't shoot me... I don't have a lot of experience with these things (besides 'riding' on them !)
