I just picked up a 98 challenger 1800. So far this thing is a blast. I do have a question for you guys. As I ease onto the throttle on both engines one at about 15mph or so one of the motors revs was up and the other one stays steady. If I keep accelerating at about 20-25 the reving comes back down to normal and it runs fine. What could this be? Wear Ring?

thanks
Anthony

It could be carb adjustment. Check the Low Speed screw it should be at 1 1/2 turns out it has a pin through it. Make sure both carbs are in sync.

The motors run good all the way through the RPM range. I guess a better way to describe the problem is the one motor almost acts like a clutch slipping on a car. It holds at low RPM and slips in the middle, ~4500. and then with more speed from motor B the other motor/clutch start to hold again.

Does this make sense to anyone, I am sure I could explain better.
