We just got a 98 challenger 1800. I noticed that there are no beeps when I plug the lanyard in like the manual says. However it fires up just fine. Again in the manual it states that if no beeps are heard the main disconnect is off. Where is the main disconnect?

buzzer took a dump....if runs great, dont worry about it, worried about it, Radio Shack has similar that works for 15 buks...under driver compartment storage bin...

I thought that might be the case. Any idea where the main disconnect is just for future reference?

If the main disconnect was off there would be no power to anything. It shuts off the power from the battery. You need the beeper to give you a warning if you are starting it in gear, or if it is overheating it will give you a solid beeeeep. Replace the beeper or spend a lot of money if it overheats and seizes up.

looks like I need #15 out of the electrical-fuse box w/lights/bilge pump section. Does that sound about right to you? Thanks for all of the help by the way.

my local radio shack is about as helpful as teats on a bull. but I might take a spin out there and see what they have. Would I just look for a 12v buzzer?
