98-04 Speedster - Quick Fix to Ugly Seat Gaps

Anyone with this model knows the foam seat cushions shrink, exposing the ugly gap of yellow foam and velcro. My solution? A piece of foam pipe insulation wrapped in black marine grade vinyl, and attached to the edges of the seats. These arent the best pics, but it really does enhance the look, cover the gap, and looks like it came that way.

That looks great. I am thinking about doing the same thing. What size pipe insulation did you use, and how did you attach it to the edge of the seats?
 
1/2 inch diameter, then i cut it in half the long ways.

Attached to seat edges (removed seats for installation) with strips of industrial strength velcro. Glue would work too.
 
Thanks, I think I am going to try this tomorrow. Just have to find the marine vinyl here in Nashville. I will post pics, if I can, and it looks good. I bought a super strength spray contact adhesive.
