97 xp carb and water valve queston

Ok i have one problem and one question about my 97 xp.... First off is my jetting of my carbs. I have a Race pipe on it it's bored .40 over wiseco pistons solas i ss impeller R&D flame arrestor/filter and a rev box. Just rebuilt carbs and replaced fuel lines the ski dosent hit hard off the line it runs pretty good except it bogs a little but the real issue is that sometimes it is hard to hit powerband unless i cavitate the pump or play with the throttle. Putting the high speed jets out 1/2 turn helped a bit, so i think i need to rejet what do you guys reccomend for sizes and where can i get a kit? And a question about this 97 xp why dont i have a water flow valve on my water box like all the pics and manuals show i only have a T fitting with a line running to the tuned pipe and 2 lines going to cooling water?? is it an early 97 or something?

97 was a switch year I believe, not the same setup halfway through the year.

hey Traitor...this the specs for your ski....1997 XP 787 (2) BN-40Icarbs (SB) MAIN(jet)-(MAG - 142.5 PTO - 147.5) PILOT(jet)-65 1.5n/s 28 - 48 LOW- 1-3/4 HIGH- 0 ACCEL PUMP ON PTO CARB....from your post/thread, you have the grasp of doin work yourself. I'd play with the needle/seat assy, read that 2.0n/s-w/black float arm spring is great combo for your ski, especially w/ the add-ons you have, and bump jets up some. Spending at most 50buks for these parts, way better than 3-4hundred for buckshots, and then try'n to figure out new carbs adjustment....
