Wanted to see if a 97 XP with a new motor?? he says
with a broken drive shaft at the flywheel is worth $800 or more trouble than it is worth to fix. I am pretty handy with fixing boat motors and cars and have most tools that may be needed

You are wanting to see what with a new motor? I'm not sure what your asking. If the engine is new, I think that what your saying, then that should be a good deal. I would be a little cautious buying this because you cannot test drive it and no way to find out if it has other problems. If they say the engine is new, ask for some documentation, and do a compression test.
