Newbie here new to the forum. I picked up the above a couple of moths ago and have had problems in the water with it cutting out. Seems to run fine on the trailer.
I started to go through the troubleshooting guide here on bogging out - I do have the old grey fuel lines. So I started simple by switching my fuel selector to reserve and after about a minute and reving a bit the rpm's shot up without any throttle. I tried to pump the throttle but it still kept going, so I pressed the start/stop switch - no response, pulled the lanyard - no response. Finally the rpm's came down and the start/stop switch worked.
I've never had any problems with the start/stop switch or the lanyard and they both work as they should with normal idle. Anyway it kind of freaked me out a bit thinking it could happen on the water.
Any help would be appreciated.
