97 xp cranks good wont start

Got a 97 xp 787, put a rebuilt motor in it and it cranks over good, tries to start but wont. I got spark, gas, oil and took in to get it all timed by a professional but still nothing. any ideas?

Does this rebuilt engine have good compression? I allso wander why the professional did not tell you what was wrong. :cheers:

put gas down the carbs, see if that will fire

ya it has good compression. i went back to him and he rechecked his timing and he had accidentally timed the rotory to the wrong piston. got that switched and back together and fired right up. Thanks:hurray:

How did he get it out the door to you without checking to see if it starts? Shoulda caught that in the shop.
