Just put two new motors in and was out today backing them in I ran them for about an hr and a half then pulled it bad on the trailer I felt the cylinder heads and one was very hot to touch the other was like warm where should I go from here any input would be great thanks

Did you determine the reason for replacement? Did one blow? I would verify all coming lines are clear of obstructions.

Yes the the reason for the blown motor was bc somebody worked on it b4 and had no clue wat they were doing and never hooked uptheoil pump wen reassembled it

I would recommend using a thermal temp gun to check the engine temperatures every 5 minutes for the first 30 minutes of run time for the break in procedure, and then once about every 15-20 minutes for the rest of the day. After that just check the temperatures once or twice every time the boat is used. If you do that, the motors will probably last a lifetime.

What kills a two stroke engine:

1) Heat
2) Bullets

Too lean: overheat and destroy the motor
No oil: overheat and destroy the motor
Clogged cooling system: overheat and destroy the motor

So if you make absolutely sure the motor is not overheating, then you always know its not running lean or lacking oil or a clogged cooling system. So it should last a really long time. Assuming you fog the motors when not in use, and use fuel stabilizer.

Also, when a car overheats it boils over and you see steam. When a boat overheats, there is no steam to see.

How can I check the cooling system I'm running the oil pump and 50:1 mixer in the gas as well I can fatten it up a bit to rule that out any tips please

The cooling system should have visual cooling system function indicators. A hole in the boat that sprays water out when the cooling system is working.
