97 Speedster What Seal carrier to use ?

Hello Wanting to replace my impellers with Scat trak's

With the pumps off do I go with OSDparts updated carbon seal with the machined metal spacer
Or should I go for OSD's other modified carrier with the zerk fitting.
Doing the work myself so wanting to make life simple Plan on ditching the shaft protectors
what else should I order for the job boots etc ..?

I would go with the carbon seal it's the newer design and more fail safe.
