I recently changed the gaskets on my cylinders and when I went to put the cyclinder cover back on i was short one bolt. I searched everywhere and I think I might've accidentally thrown it away when i was cleaning up (Note to self: Never clean up until project is complete). Well now I am short one of those long bolts that keeps the cover on. Does anyone by chance know what the part number of that bolt is or what that bolt is called specifically.

If anyone happens to also know where I can buy one that would also be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Fritz

remove another head-bolt, and take to local auto/parts store. Its common/thread bolt pattern. Make sure you get stainless steel...

For All Fasteners

Remove one of the other bolts

Go to Ace Hardware

Find a Grade 8 Stainless Steel replacement, probably metric like M8

Screw a nut onto both pieces to make sure the threads are the same

Pay $1.12 instead of $ 30 from dealer

Another example of the easiest solution being the best. I did not once think of just checking the local hardware store. It seems like everything in this day and age is propietary and I didnt even think about parts being standard.

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction both of you.
