So, I open the engine cover, turn on the master switch, turn on the bilge until all the water is out of the engine bay. Then I turn it off. Works fine right? Well after I start the engine, the bilge pump runs continuously, and the only way to stop it is to turn the master switch back off. What would cause the bilge pump to run all the time when once the engine is started?

mine runs anytime there is water in the engine compartment, regardless if the master switch is on or not. Its setup that way so if the boat is left in the water overnight and you take on water it drains it so your boat doesn't sink.. I did have a problem with the water sensor sticking due to trash and the pump wouldn't shutoff, took it apart cleaned it and it works properly now..

Some how it's wired hot with the motor. Trace all the wires from the pump to the battery. Are any connected to other wires??

Where is the water sensor?

Look at the bilge pump, then just off to the right you will see bracket with two knobby things on it, one above the other. Clear all the trash off them and wipe down with a rag.

The float is defective and thinks there is water in there or, something is activating the float as mentioned above. (Crap hanging around the float switch).

I have to add this comment.
My neighbor just acquired a tiger Shark from another that lost his house. His Rule 360 (Factory installed) comes on when the engine is running, he also has a switch in the handlebar with the stop/start switch all molded together.
