i am new to the seadoo jet boat world and i have a questions i hope you guy can help me with.

when i first start my 97 sportster i let it idle for a few minutes to let it warm up after doing this i put it in forward and increase the throttle moderately. now my question is with a seadoo jet boat can you put it at full throttle right away?
in other words just punch it? or are they only designed to increase speed moderately. thanks

If everything is working right.... and the engine is warm... yes... you can just mash the throttle to full.

With that said... it's common to have some very light cavitation if you do that... but if everything is perfect, that can be eliminated.

thanks dr honda, i have replaced the carbon seal about 2 weeks ago and when i did try to mash it i was getting some cavitation, i wasnt sure if it was normal for it to do that, now im going to replace the wear ring and neoprene seal, im also looking into a new impeller i was thinking of going with the solas x series, is there anything else i should do?? i want to eliminate the cavitation as much as possible, so if it mean me replacing everything in the jet ill do it. any feed back would be appreciated thanks
