97 SEA DOO SPEEDSTER JETBOAT

brothers and sisters.....have a 97 speedster...brand new SBT crate engine..newly rebuilt jet pumps...runs great...but.....after a bit of running...my new SBT engine falls off to 4000 rpm and holds!! resealed oil res...welded up the starboard exhaust freeze plug...everything is good..except...run her for about 15 minutes..the new engine wants to fall off to 4000 rpm! new engine...tests out at 150 psi on cylinder pressures..old motor....120...….any clues!! jeffrey

Rebuild your carbs with only Genuine Mikuni parts, not aftermarket kits before you seize your new engine.

WIll take it under advisement brother...we did discover that the boat ...after a period of warming up is not getting the proper amount of electricity...most likely voltage reg..or a stator issue..but thank you for the advice!

The voltage regulator only causes running issues with overvoltage.
