hey all,
I bought my first used seadoo a 1997 bombadier GTX and on my first outing, sucked a towstrap into the jet. I removed it and The impeller did not seemed damaged, so other then some scratching on the fiberglass everything seemed fine. After I running it awhile it seemed like it took along time to get up to speed and the top speed wot is only 35-45, in choppy water. ( i weigh 260)
After reading through several posts, I have figured out that I need to replace my wear ring, I have ordered the ring and am waiting for it to arrive.
My questions. Can I still use the jetski while waiting? top speed seems to be about 35-45 and it runs great otherwise. Will it cause additional damage?
Is there a post that I can search for that will supplement the manual? as far as steps required ie removing the reverse gate, and otherstuff. fairly mechanically inclined, but dont want to make things harder on myself.
Thanks in advance, love the site and would love to find some riders from lake St clair Michigan
