97 gtx something faster

I purchased a used 97 gtx ( first ever pwc, even if it was running perfect) and although fun, was a little under powered fo me. ( it does 57) I am used to fast snowmobiles and dirtbikes. I feel by the end of the summer I will be board with this boat. Without spending 9 grand on a supercharged pwc, is there a faster boat around this year, maybe single seater, or do you guys think a stand up ski will be more entertaining?

To start, you can't go by a speedometer on just about any of these ski's. My 97 GTX hits about 52 on GPS. As far as what ski to get, its up to your riding style. A 96 XP has the same motor as the gtx, but a 2 seater, lighter, and very maneuverable. My 01 XP has a 951 which does about 60 on GPS. Again, 2 seater, maneuverable, jumps sweet. I rode a single seater and loved it, but I wouldn't get rid of a guaranteed ski, for a single seater. In real rough waves, you get hammered. And sometimes they are a pain to reboard in rough water. Watch some youtube video's to see what the ski's do.
