Ok guys so here is what i have done so far...
Cleaned the Rave valves and changed the plugs and regaped them.

here is what teh ski does... Runs out of the water ok until about 28MPH and then takes off (like it should out of the hole.)

if i run it out say at about 40mph for a bit and very slowly accelerate sometimes it will not go any faster and RPMs stay where they were at 40MPH.
I have to release the gas and then "goose it" and it goes like a bandit again

the Ski still will go 54MPH in almost any water condition and the PEAK MPH says 60MPH after my last trip.

any ideas???
Does this sound like a Carb issue?

(yes i still have the grey fuel lines.)

you still have grey fuel lines???change them if so,...yah, i'd go thru the fuel system, selector valve, inline filter, then/also carbs, get rebuild kit, if never done before....grey lines...j/k

Quick sanity check......change fuel selector knob to Reserve and run it hard for a bit. If the performance is different, then the fuel selector valve is getting gummed up.

While the valve is easy to replace or clean, it does point to the more in-depth problem of the grey fuel lines gunking up your carb's internal filters.

thanks... I will try the RES selector next time I am out. if thats that problem i will clean/replace and then to the fuel lines and a carb kit.

Where is the best place to buy a Carb rebuilt kit... anyone have a DIY on rebuilding the carbs?
